Do used car buyers shop online?
While the rate of growth of used-vehicle buyers using the Internet during the shopping process has leveled off, those who use the medium for this purpose are spending more time online, according to the J.D. Power and Associates 2003 Used Autoshopper.com Study.
The study, which examines the role of the Internet in the used-vehicle shopping process, finds that the average amount of time spent by automotive Internet users shopping for a used vehicle online has climbed 15 percent-from 4.8 hours in 2002 to 5.5 hours in 2003. Forty-seven percent of used-vehicle buyers have used the Internet during the shopping process in 2003, which is unchanged from 2002 levels. These shoppers visit an average of 10.5 sites throughout the online shopping process, concentrating more on independent sites, such as Socalcars.com, than on manufacturer or dealer sites.
How does your service work?
You create an online classified ad using our simple "try before you buy" ad creation process. Your online ad will appear in our categoriezed search listings and will be displayed when your vehicle matches the search criteria of visitors to socalcars.com.
Your ad will run for 14, 21 or as many days as it takes to sell, unless you delete it. You may also access your "My Posted Ads" page at any time to edit or delete your ad.
How much does it cost?
Socalcars.com currently offers 4 rate plans for individuals, and 3 rate plans for dealerships.

How will buyers contact me?
SocalCars.com has provided automotive buyers with convenient ways to contact you. Our online service, simply gives buyers the opportunity to reach you via your preferred method of contact, phone and/or e-mail. You are not required to list your full name, so your privacy is protected.
Can I place multiple ads at once?
Yes! You can place as many ads as you wish, but each ad will be charged its individual price. We have made the purchasing process
simple, so you can create multiple ads at a time, and only pay for those which you would like to activate, through one secure transaction.
Please note, there are limitations on the number of ads you can place as a "private party", before you are a classified as a dealer.

How long does it take to sell my car?
The length of time it may take to sell your car depends partially on your participation. We have designed an online system which
helps you to generate leads and interest in your vehicle, but we cannot guarantee any immediate sales, or provide you with a fixed amount of responses to your ad.
You are responsible for conducting all negotiations, and making legal agreements with your buyers.
